Synopsis

Drug addicted 19-year-old Ben Burns unexpectedly shows up on Christmas Eve at his family`s suburban home. His mom, Holly, is wary of his drug addiction but welcomes him anyway as she is relieved to see him. New truths are revealed within a turbulent 24 hours and Holly`s undying love for her son is put to the test as she does everything to keep him clean.

Story: 3 | Acting: 4 | Visual: 3 | Music: 3 | Overall: 4

Interesting storyline revolving around the undying love of a mother and the painful turmoil of coming to terms with the problems of addiction. It addresses real-life issues which what makes it worth watching for me.

Drug abuse is a horrible thing.

A remarkably touching movie so close to the heart. Julia's part as the mother is on point. The hallmark of this film is the array of internal conflicts it sets up between the characters when Ben inexplicably show up. The whole purpose of the movie is to get people off of the idea of doing drugs.
