If rollicking independence princesses were your cup of tea, then this movie fits the bill in spades. The titular character is a goddess-like character who is feisty yet feminine, full of poetic words but also martial prowess, who leads her people against the imperious British and their colonial lackeys during 19th century India. The latter are caricatured as unfeeling brutes while the Princess can do no wrong, which all feels a bit unbalanced but it's hugely entertaining nonetheless.
The Queen Of Jhansi is a visual form of our History chapters but a very intriguing and beautiful looking one. Packed with some amazing war choreography, resplendent production value.
