Universal Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for The Grinch, an animated Christmas movie from Despicable Me and Minions creators Illumination Entertainment, based on the Dr. Seuss story How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The film follows a grumpy, cave-dwelling creature known as The Grinch, who hatches a scheme to ruin Christmas when the residents of Whoville plan their annual holiday celebration.

Directed by Yarrow Cheney (The Secret Life of Pets) and Scott Mosier, The Grinch features the voice talents of Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness, Doctor Strange) as the titular character.
