Synopsis

A Hong Kong-exiled filmmaker travels to Taiwan, with her husband and their toddler in tow, to a film festival to present her film that has been banned in China. Meanwhile, her ailing mother is vacationing there with a tour group. She has timed the visit to meet her mother but to avoid attracting unwanted attention, she and her family shadow the tour's itinerary and meet up with her mother during mealtimes and photo stops.
