Synopsis

It is stifling hot July day in 1346. And it’s time to elect a new king for the Roman Empire. The only candidate is the Moravian Margrave Charles, who is in disguise and following the election. Each of electors has reasons to vote for Charles or not. One key person who can tip the balance is Charles's father, the Czech King John of Luxembourg. Intrigues of certain interest groups have been influencing Charles's fate since birth. Thanks to his military and political experience, he not only matures into his father's opponent, but even into Emperor Louis's rival. He plays his own political game, whose surprising outcome finally paves the way to the imperial throne.
