Synopsis

For Hanako, who was raised in an upper-class and wealthy family in Tokyo, it is her duty to marry a man of high social standing. Now in her late twenties, she has finally met her ideal suitor after continued arranged meetings with potential men. She is supposed to have a happy marriage to look forward to until she learns that her future husband has been involved with another woman. That woman is Miki, who hails from a low-income class background from rural Japan, and she works hard to survive in Tokyo. The lives of Hanako and Miki who live in very different social environments eventually begin to intersect.
