Synopsis

During a searing drought in the summer of 1976, 13-year-old Gus`s childhood is coming to an end. Nature is withering, emotions are swelling high, and the family unit bursts. As he emerges into teenagehood, the long-awaited thunderstorms promise to follow, sweeping across the exhausted countryside, and taking Gus` whole world with them.
