Synopsis

BRIDES, an epic love story directed by legendary filmmaker Pantelis Voulgaris. Set in 1922, the film tells the story of Niki, one of 700 mail order brides, who falls in love with an American photographer on board the SS King Alexander. She is bound for her new husband in New York, and he is on his way home to a failed marriage. "BRIDES" is a story about strong emotions, about dilemmas, about conscience, about behaving responsibly. It is about the brief moments, the glances, the touches, the yes and the no that count in life.
