Synopsis

On the distant planet of New World, a boy called Todd Hewitt lives there and has been brought up to believe that all the women have been killed a by a viral germ, which also causes The Noise, the ability to read the minds of people and animals. One day, he discovers a silent patch and learns that its source is a mysterious girl called Viola. The girl might be the key to unlocking the many secrets of New World. Together, the two are thrown into an adventure on an unexplored planet. They have to try to escape and hide in a place where everything can be heard and seen, as they begin to learn the truth about the lives they left behind.
