Eddie Murphy reprises his role as Prince Akeem in this sequel to 1988's "Coming to America". This time, the prince is about to become King of Zamunda when he learns that he has a son he never knew about in Queens, New York. He and his aide, Semmi, set off to America to look for the young man named Lavelle, in order to fulfil Akeem's father King Jaffe's dying wish of grooming this son as the crown prince.
