In Havana, November 1871, several first-year medical students are imprisoned over an unjust accusation. Their lives are snatched away from them as they rot in jail for the better part of two decades. One day, Fermín Valdes Domínguez, a friend and cellmate of the victims, has a breakthrough. He finds a clue that might finally be able to bring the truth to light. After 16 years of fighting to free these young people, this clue might finally be the one to prove their innocence and give them their lives back.
