The movie takes place after the events of the anime series' second season. During the graduation ceremony of the third-year students, the defending champions of the school idol tournament μ's (Muse) plan to dissolve their group after the graduation of their senior members. However, as they attempt to leave the school gates, they receive a single email telling them that there will be a new concert event, which opens the curtain on a new story for μ's.
