Synopsis

A biographical drama film based on Marie Brenner's 1997 article "American Nightmare: The Ballad of Richard Jewell". It follows security guard Richard Jewell, who, after reporting a bomb at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and saving many lives by doing so, finds himself as the FBI's number one suspect instead. Watson Bryant, an independent, anti-establishment attorney, helps him prove his innocence, fighting FBI, GBI and APD to clear his name.
