RINA2, the sequel to 2013 Ada Apa Dengan Rina (What’s So Special About Rina), is a co- production movie project between Regalblue Production, Brunei and Lao Art Media Co.,Ltd., the Lao company who produced Lao’s first commercial feature film “Sabaidee Luangprabang” (2008). RINA2 is set in present-time Vientiane and Bandar Seri Begawan at the ratio of 50:50. HAKIM (Syukri Mahari) and FAISAL (Tauffek Ilyas) continue their journey in finding their perfect match. During the work trip in Vientiane, their friendship is tested when they fall in love with the same woman, MINA (Khouannakhone Souliyabapha) - a Lao tourist guide. They both are mentored by the guest house manager YAHYA (Brunei’s favourite comedian Haji Yahya Haji Berudin), who himself has to fight with rich KAICUK (Phongsavanh Boulom) to win a heart of MALAI (Chintana Soukkavongsa), a laundry shop owner.
