Synopsis

Rosalie is a young woman in France in 1870, but she is not like other women; she hides a secret: since her birth, her face and body have been covered in hair. Afraid of being rejected, she has always had to shave. Until the day when Abel, a cafe owner overwhelmed by debt, marries her for her dowry without knowing her secret. But Rosalie wants to be seen as a woman, despite her difference, which she no longer wants to hide. By letting her beard grow, she will finally set herself free. She wants Abel to love her as she is, while others will try to reduce her to a monster. Will Abel be able to love her? Will she survive the cruelty of others?
