Srinivas and his sister Lakshmi have been orphaned since childhood. They are taken in by their uncle at first but he is a chronic drinker. Their cousin then helps them escape and the siblings end up being adopted by a couple living in the city. Srinivas grows up to be a hard worker, doing multiple jobs to earn money. He also runs a dance school, where he hires a woman named Lalitha to help him and the two eventually fall in love with each other.
