When an infectious fatal disease breaks out in Malaysia, a local pharmaceutical company with international acclaim tries to curb the threat by using a new medicine that has not been fully approved by the authorities. During the epidemic, a local reporter and the pharmaceutical company's son, Teo Chun Loong, are found dead. Malaysian police officer Lee Weng Kan suspects that they have been murdered. He tracks down Teo's wife, who has run away to Hong Kong after her husband's death. There, he teams up with a Hong Kong police officer, David Wong. Later, the two, along with Hong Kong journalist Carly Yuen, receive a message from a secret organisation called The Leakers, who claims to know the dark truth behind the medicine business.
