Synopsis

A postal employee from northern Italy feels overwhelmed by his wife and feigns disability so he can get transferred to Milan. He gets sent to a tiny village in Naples instead. He moves there alone and full of prejudices about the South. However, what he finds there surprises him and makes him feel at home. Not wanting his wife to find out, he lets her believe that his life is miserable there and that all the prejudices are true.
