Synopsis

Lui Lok becomes a police officer to uphold justice, but the rampant corruption within the police force made it impossible for him to remain independent. He decides to make a name for himself within the police force by controlling organised crime. He teams up with the cunning Nam Kong, who is the brains to his brawn. Together, they respectively become Chinese Chief Detective of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon in 1962. They lord over organised crime and lead tens of thousands of policemen. However, Nam has long been planning to overthrow Lui and take all their shared power for himself. When Lui discovers that everything is not as he had imagined, he vows to forcibly regain leadership from Nam. Suddenly, the calm and organised Hong Kong police force burbles with an undercurrent of conflict, murderous intent and betrayal.
