Best Director and Best Editing Award (Sundance - World Cinema Documentary)
This is documentary storytelling at it’s most visionary and mindblowing.” - Sundance Jury
A therapist’s questions and a visit to a voluminous archive propel a noir-ish, semi-fictional dramatization of a day in the life of musician and cultural icon Nick Cave - where the legend himself discusses his fears, inspirations and faith.
The film was inspired by a calculation Nick had made in his songwriting notebook working out his time on earth. Directors Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard have taken this and from it crafted an innovative and powerful film that takes us inside Nick’s artistic process and celebrates creativity.
