Marina is a transgender woman who works as a waitress and aspires to become a singer. Her older lover, Orlando, falls ill and dies before Marina gets a chance to see him on his deathbed. But instead of being able to mourn for him, Marina is treated with suspicion. Everybody including Orlando`s family shuns her from their lives. Marina struggles to accept herself and fights for her own right to become the woman she is now.
