Synopsis

From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.

A Wrinkle In Time Reviews

Weird and Absurd
This film is so eccentrically weird, in the worst way possible. The characters don’t come across as lovable or relatable and thus the whole film comes off as a weird, corny, wild mess with beautiful visuals, not unlike a drug-induced hallucination that is incidentally PG. ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ doesn’t come off as weird when read in the book but comes off as absolutely absurd in this film adaptation.

Slow but unwrinkled
The classic good vs evil battle is brought up a notch in this modern day fairytale by Disney. Movie could have been better paced but is compensated for by an unwrinkled performance by the brilliant child actors (that far surpass those of the adult actors with bigger fame) as well as dreamy visuals and graphics. All in all, a family movie that may perhaps provide some creative entertainment to both young in age and young at heart.

Major disappointment!
The movie was painful to watch and though visually beautiful, the cast and production can’t save this one from Disney

A wrinkle in Time is imaginative.
Disney’s version of the Madeleine L’Engle young-adult novel is a magical mystery tour. The film is bursting with special effects.

Beautiful visuals, weak story
Beautiful visual effects with great casting and costumes. Other than that, story lacks the punch and was quite draggy. Watched till I feel wrinkled.

An acquired taste
The music that were in the movie definitely fit the movie. Filled with many scenes that are visually appealing ! However, only an acquired taste can enjoy the movie. Recommend those who are going to watch this movie to keep an open mind :)
