A wealthy young lady from Shanxi decides to leave her home after she is forced into an arranged marriage. She brings along the tape that her mother left her, Grandma`s Penghu Bay, and intends to go to Penghu fishing village and experience the environment and feelings that are described in the song. Upon arriving at the island, one of the village locals named Ah Wu welcomes her. Thus begins the love story of a city girl and a village boy, as well as their struggles in life.
