Synopsis

Set in the 1970s in an isolated hospital in the high ranges of Kerala, where an autistic patient with special skills named Nithya has been living. A psychiatrist, Dr. M. K. Nair, suspects something amiss and begins to investigate Nithya`s background. He then learns something unexpected about her past.

A Shutter Island vibes.

Story: 4 | Acting: 4 | Visual: 4 | Music: 4 | Overall: 4

But it has all the elements which make it an Indianized version. It explores, albeit inadequately, the themes of power abuse and mental illness. The scratch marks on the wall of Nithya’s room look freshly painted.
