Synopsis

Following the tradition in Okinawa, Takashi returns to his hometown for his mother`s Senkotsu, which is the ritual of washing a deceased love one`s bones before placing them in a bone storage urn. He faces an awkward family reunion with his father Nobutsuna and his care-free sister, Yuko, who shows up nine months pregnant. Takashi blames his father for his mother`s death, since she worked hard to pay of the debts of Nobutsuna`s company. The family`s awkward mood continues even as the mother`s Senkotsu grows closer.
