Synopsis

Kaurismaki’s first-ever film is an absurdist, surrealist tragicomedy involving seventeen men all named Frank in search for an exodus. They brave a wild and merciless city full of angry old women with their spoons, hammers, typewriters and dogs the size of cows to reach their intended paradise - but all is not as it seems.
