Synopsis

Georges Laffont is a traumatised war survivor in the early 1920s. He is trying to search for his place in the world and decides to leave his life behind to travel to West Africa into the vast territories of Upper Volta. His adventures lead him to a dead end which brings him back to Nantes, France, where his brother lives with their mother. Georges is still desperate to find his place but with the help of Helene, a sign language teacher, he can finally heal from his traumatic past.
