Synopsis

Producer Jeremy Prokosch is a philistine in the art film business who is unhappy with the work of his director. He hires Fritz Lang to direct an adaptation of "The Odyssey" but when it seems that the film will fail horribly at the box office, he brings in screenwriter Paul Javal to vitalise the script. But a rift between the screenwriter and the producer happens when Javal`s beautiful wife has an affair with the producer.
