Synopsis

Fan Jinshi, the director of the Dunhuang Academy in Dunhuang city, has worked as a patron saint of Mogao Grottoes. The Mogao Grottoes were built from the 4th to the 14th century by monks as sites for worship and meditation. Thanks to her efforts, conservators have utilised state-of-the-art technology to preserve the grottoes such as the protection of murals, the consolidation of cliffs and the reduction of sandstorms` impact on the temples. She has devoted her whole life to her beloved Dunhuang cause, because Dunhuang belongs to China and the world. From black hair to grey hair, Fan Jinshi interprets the belief of "choose one thing, love one person, and live your whole life".
