Synopsis

Sanada is an alcoholic doctor with a bad temper. When a yakuza, Matsunaga, gets injured in a gunfight, he seeks treatment from Sanada, who then diagnoses the small-time gangster with tuberculosis. An unlikely friendship forms between the two after the doctor convinces the yakuza to get treatment for his infectious disease. Problem arises when Matsunaga`s former boss, Okada, who also happens to be Sanada`s assistant`s abusive ex, gets released from prison and plans to take over his gang again.
