Set in the 1960s and `70s in Mukkam Kerala, the film tells the tragic love story between a pair of star-crossed lovers, Moideen and Kanchanamala. Moideen is the son of a renowned Muslim family while Kanchanamala is the daughter of a Hindu thiyya aristocratic landlord. Their different status and religions are getting in the way of their happily ever after.
