Sergey, a young private in the Estonian air force, has only a few weeks remaining for his military service and assigned to guide the new pilot, Roman. Spending time together, an undeniable tension begins to develop between them. Fearing the repercussions of homosexuality under the Soviet regime, especially in the army, they ignore it as much as they can. Roman encourages Sergey to pursue his love of acting rather than go back to his family`s farm once he leaves the force, and Sergey does exactly that. As he begins to rise in his acting career, he receives an invite to Roman`s wedding. He attends, but refuses to give up on his love for Roman. As Roman discovers that his feelings for Sergey never truly died either, the two of them are forced to make a decision about their relationship.
