Synopsis

A first-hand account of the Syrian War as seen through the eyes of a new mother, Waad Al-Kateab. It follows her life through five years of the uprising in Aleppo, Syria, as she falls in love and gets married, eventually giving birth to her daughter, Sama, all while being surrounded by catastrophic conflict. She struggles to pick between fleeing the city to protect Sama`s life and staying put, because leaving means she will be abandoning the fight for freedom that she has sacrificed so much for.
