Synopsis

This biography drama film is based on true events revolving around Olympic Gold medalist wrestler, Mark Schultz, who was asked by a multi-millionaire named John du Pont to form a wrestling team for the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. Mark sees this as a way to step out of the shadow of his brother, Dave. When du Pont starts leading Mark down a dark road, it causes the athlete's self-esteem to slip. As du Pont becomes more fixated on bringing Dave onto the team as well, the three are eventually propelled toward an unforeseen tragedy.
