Anna, a young novitiate nun in 1960s Poland, is on the verge of taking her vows when she discovers a dark family secret dating back to the years of the German occupation. Now, before Ida takes her vows and disappears into monastic life for good, she must meet her only living relative – brusque and worldly aunt Wanda. How will discovering the past influence Ida’s future?
