A black-and-white Polish drama, set in the 1960s, about a young novitiate nun named Anna, who is on the verge of taking her vows when she discovers a dark family secret that dates back to the years of the Nazi occupation. Before she takes her vow, Anna must meet her only living relative aunt Wanda, a sexually promiscuous judge who reveals that Anna`s real name is Ida Lebenstein, and her parents are Jews who were murdered during the Nazi occupation. How will knowing the past change Ida`s future?
