Synopsis

A period war drama, Kesari tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897 while yearning for the respect of his estranged daughter.

The huge turban that Kumar wore in the film weighed about 6kg. This is a patriotic movie that shows the untold story of the bravest battle fought in India in 1897. The battle scenes were shot in Wai located about 150 km from Mumbai.
