A young native Huichol named Nieri dreams of travelling with his band to Mexico City and performing a concert there. Unfortunately for him, his father, a shaman Huichol or Mara`akame, has a different plan for him. His father wants him to follow his tradition and become a Mara`akame too. To do so, he must find the Blue Deer in his dreams.
