Synopsis

Vasantrao Deshpande is a classical Hindustani music nonconformist from Maharashtra. The film unfolds various chapters of his life including his unique friendship with P.L. Deshpande and Begum Akhtar, life in the Indian Military, learning music in Lahore, and performing in Katyaar Kaljaat Ghusli - the play that brought him an undying fame.
