Synopsis

Based on the Japanese film, Midnight Sun centers on Katie, a 17-year-old sheltered since childhood and confined to her house during the day by a rare disease that makes even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly. Fate intervenes when she meets Charlie and they embark on a summer romance.

I can fully understand how Katherine is suffering as me myself have a condition name Uveitis. Great storyline that touches many people hearts and made many of us crying in cinema. Thumbs up.

This show shows how issues in life can tear people apart and break them down. At the same time how people can pick themselves up and face reality for what it is.

Moments of brilliance

All the pieces make sense but the ensemble doesn’t work. There are moments of brilliance in the films where the characters shine through and heart strings are thugged but there are also many moments that fell flat. Couldn’t help but feel that this movie could have been a smash hit in the hands of a more competent director but Midnight Sun comes off as another mediocre teenage romance film that thugs at the heart strings but doesn’t fully resonate.

Super sad movie that will leave you weeping in the cinema. A cute teen age love story with a twist . The main boy character is really good lookin too!
