Synopsis

The second part of a three-part series based on the award-winning and best-selling racing manga by Shuichi Shigeno, which retells the beginning of the story from the original "Initial D" manga. Takumi Fujiwara is a high school student who works as a gas station attendant during the day and a delivery boy for his father`s tofu shop during the night. With his precise driving skills and his father`s modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno, Takumi becomes the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina`s highway and because of this racing groups from all over the Gunma prefecture challenge him to see if he really has what it takes to be a road legend.
