'Black Panther': Yay Or Nay? Here's What The Critics Are Saying

nicholas - News - 31 Jan 2018

Marvel's Black Panther is no further than three weeks away, but just like how a panther stalks its prey, all eyes are already fixed on Marvel's most important superhero movie to date. It's not just one of the most anticipated movies of the year, it's also a very big deal because of the cultural footprint it is likely to leave behind.

While the rest of humanity has to wait a little longer to see it, a few lucky people have already caught a glimpse of the King of Wakanda in action. The social media embargo has been lifted and the reviews are in – Marvel has done it again! Critics who have seen Black Panther have been sharing early reactions on social media, and it definitely looks like we have another hit on our hands.

With overwhelming praise being heaped on its meaningful themes, visuals and strong villain, Black Panther is one revolution you won't want to miss.

Directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed), Black Panther stars an all 90% African and African-American cast including Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira and Daniel Kaluuya. The film follows T'Challa after the events of Captain America: Civil War, as he returns home to Wakanda. When two enemies conspire to bring down the kingdom, he must team up with the CIA and members of Wakanda's special forces to prevent a world war.
