They look fantastic, light up our movie screens with their acting prowess and give us a reason to keep on going to the movies. Some are just starting out, some at the height of their career and some have been around for a long time but don't look to be going anywhere anytime soon. Here's a quick look at our favorite Hollywood leading men.

1) Leonardo DiCaprio - Academy, Golden Globe, BAFTA winner Leo started his career in the early 90s but rose to fame with his good looks and the worldwide success of James Cameron's Titanic. He has gone on to star in many different films in a wide range of genres with critical acclaim. He certainly knows how to pick his roles; we can't wait till his next film comes out. Plus he cares for the environment and is philanthropic to boot. What more can we ask for in our leading men?

2) Chris Evans - Mr Captain America aka Steve Rogers first became known to us after his role as the human torch in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer. He's had a string of other movies since then but of course, we love him best in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also has an interest in directing and may consider focusing more on directing instead of acting in the future. We hope he continues with both. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing him in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.

3) Chris Hemsworth - Oh, he does the God of Thunder, Thor so well! Chris started his career on TV in Australia with the series Home and Away and his first Hollywood role was as George Kirk in Star Trek which he auditioned for after being in the US for only 6 weeks. He's certainly come a long way since then with his roles in Thor, Avengers, Rush, Snow White And The Huntsman, The Huntsman: Winter's War, In The Heart Of The Sea and more. He particularly impressed us with his comedic skills in Vacation and Ghostbusters. We can look forward to seeing more of him in the upcoming Thor: Ragnorak and Star Trek sequel. Chris took the gong for the Sexiest Man Alive in 2014 and is dad to 3 lovely children with his model-actress wife Elsa Pataky.

4) Henry Cavill - British actor Henry is best known for his role as Clarke Kent / Kal El / Superman in the DC Comic's Superman movies. However, he has also been on TV with his role as Charles Brandon in The Tudors and has had a number of other hits including The Cold Light Of Day and as well as The Man From U.N.C.L.E playing top enforcement agent Napolean Solo. His charming good looks make him the perfect hot nerd in disguise.

5) Christian Bale - He has tackled all sorts of roles and has gone to quite great lengths for his craft, including gaining and losing weight severely for his craft. He has earned critical acclaim for his long career spanning 30 over years and counting and has earned himself a couple of Oscars, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards under his belt. We think he's made the best Batman so far. What do you think?

6) Keanu Reeves - From the time Keanu first burst onto our screens as this cute but geeky young actor in the Bill and Ted movies to his suave performance as Jack in Speed right down to portraying the cool Neo in the Matrix movies, he has cemented his status as a leading actor. The fact that he even played in his own band just adds to his charm. He may not be acting as much as he used to in recent years but we still loving seeing him on the big screen.

7) Robert Downey Jr - Mr IronMan starting his acting career at the tender age of 5 and what a career it has been. He has been on television, theatre and of course, movies. Part of the famed Brat Pack, his career may have taken a slight hit with his personal troubles back in the late 90s but it seems he has come through an improved version of himself. His comeback included movies, Zodiac, Tropic Thunder, Sherlock Holmes and of course his role as Tony Stark / IronMan in the Marvel movies. We have to say he is perfect at the witty, sarcastic and funny role of Tony Stark and can't wait for the upcoming Spiderman: Homecoming to see more of him.

8) Zac Efron - He rose to fame as the lovable Troy in the High School Musical with his acting and his singing pipes and hasn't stopped since. We have seen him grow from this cute young actor to the blue-eyed attractive male specimen he is today. He has taken on a number of different roles in his short career and has proven that he can act and is here to stay. We can only expect more great things from him and next up is the remake of Baywatch, set to open later this year.

9) Ryan Gosling - He got his start on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club along with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera etc. and has gone on to prove that he not only acts but he can also sing pretty well with his recent rendition of Sebastian in the award winning La La Land. He melted our hearts with that scene in the pouring rain alongside Rachel McAdams in the romantic drama The Notebook back in 2004 and has been on our radar ever since. He's up next in Blade Runner 2049 opposite Harrison Ford.

10) Andrew Garfield - He's part British and part American and what a combination. His film debut was in Lions for Lambs back in 2007 but it was his boyish good looks in his role as Peter Parker / Spiderman in The Amazing Spider-Man & The Amazing Spider-Man 2 that made us take notice of him. He has since moved on to more serious films such as the recent Silence and Hacksaw Ridge where his portrayal of Desmond T. Doss has already earned him nominations for the Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTA and SAG Awards for Best Actor.

11) Channing Tatum - He has certainly come a long way from when he first started his career as a dancer in Ricky Martin's "She Bang's" music video and has become a household name since his breakthrough role in 2006's Step Up. He was People's Magazine's choice for Sexiest Man Alive back in 2012 and has several hit movies such as Step Up, Fighting, G.I.Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, Dear John, The Vow, Magic Mike and too many more to name.

12) Dwayne Johnson - People Magazine's 2016 Sexiest Man Of The Year has definitely been going from strength to strength. He has come a long way from his WWE/WWF days and looks set to be a mainstay on our screens for a long time to come with his many upcoming movies such as the recent Moana, The Fate Of The Furious, Baywatch, Jumanji and more.
13) Johnny Depp - He of the quirky, unique roles that he has made solely his thus cementing his name in Hollywood fame. From Edward Scissorhands to Don Juan Demarco to Donnie Brasco to Sleepy Hollow to Chocolat to Pirates of the Carribean to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory To Alice in Wonderland to name just a few, his portrayals have been uniquely his and you will be hard pressed to imagine someone else in those roles with that swagger of his. His recent personal troubles aside, we think he has so much more to offer Hollywood before he's done.

14) Ryan Reynolds - It seems fame has come to Ryan later than usual but with no less aplomb. He also started out in Television and has had a string of comedies to his name but it's only in recent years that he has been part of the A-lister crowd. He's one of the few actors to headline a film based on both DC and Marvel characters. His turn at People's Sexiest Man Alive came back in 2010. To date, his most successful movie should be the recent Deadpool and with his recent successes have come his very own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

15) Tom Hiddleston - His breakout role was in Thor where he played Loki, the adoptive brother and secret enemy of the God of Thunder where he came to be loved by many. Apart from that, we have seen him in Crimson Peak and of course The Avengers films. He had a role in the TV mini-series The Night Manager which he was caught plugging during his recent Golden Globes acceptance speech. Oops! We can look forward to seeing more of him soon with the upcoming Kong: Skull Island and Thor: Ragnorak.

16) Jake Gyllenhaal - Also a mainstay in the industry, Jake has been around for more than 20 years and has had a string of successful movies to his name such as Brokeback Mountain, Zodiac, Brothers, Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time, Love & Other Drugs, Southpaw & the recent Nocturnal Animals just to name a few. He's older sister is Maggie Gyllenhaal. His personable looks have also had him linked to a number of well-known names such as Kirsten Dunst, Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift amongst others.

17) Brad Pitt - Who doesn't know Brad Pitt right? He has won multiple awards and nominations in his 30-year career with hits such as Thelma & Louise, A River Runs Through It, Legends Of The Fall, Interview With The Vampire, Seven, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, The Mexican, Troy, Mr & Mrs Smith, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and the more recent Fury and Allied just to name some. He has even received an Oscar for being a producer with his own company Plan B Entertainment. He may have gotten older but his acting alongside his striking good looks will ensure he remains in the industry for a long time to come.

18) Tom Cruise - His career can easily be compared to that of Brad Pitt's with both of them having been in the industry for a similar period of time with many successes. Tom has also won multiple awards and starting his career at 19 has also gotten him a whole string of successful movies such as Risky Business, Top Gun, The Colour Of Money, Cocktail. Rain Man, A Few Good Men, Interview With The Vampire, Jerry Maguire, the Mission Impossible films, the more recent Jack Reacher, Oblivion to name a couple. His newest movie, The Mummy will be out later this year and we will be catching it. He has also aged gracefully we would say, with those fine lines just adding to his allure. To many more years ahead, Mr. Cruise.

19) Chris Pratt - A couple of years ago, a heavier Chris Pratt may not have featured on our list but that doesn't take away from his charm. With the weight loss and the appearance of those abs came his leading man status after years of supporting roles in his earlier movies. He starred in the very successful Guardians of the Galaxy as Star-Lord and The Lego Movie after which he followed up with Jurrasic World, The Magnificent Seven, Passengers and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Avengers: Infinity War. Happily married to fellow actress Anna Farris with a little boy, we expect more good movies to come from him for a long time.

20) Mark Wahlberg - Last but definitely not least, younger brother to NKOTB member/actor older brother Donnie Wahlberg clearly has the good looks and body to go along with his acting skills. He has been in the industry for over 20 years and still looks as good he did when he first started. He's been on Boogie Nights, Three Kings, The Perfect Storm, Planet of the Apes, The Italian Job, The Departed, Ted, Transformers: Age Of Extinction to name a few and recently Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day. He began his career singing in NKOTB but soon after moved to acting instead. This reformed former bad boy will definitely be a part of the industry for a long time to come.
