A new Moana 2 trailer has arrived and teases the next adventure for Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) and Maui (Dwayne Johnson). The highly-anticipated sequel began as a Disney+ series before being reworked as a feature-length movie. In addition to Cravalho and Johnson, Moana 2's cast sees Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alan Tudyk reprising their respective roles from the first movie as Moana's father, Tui, her mother, Sini, and her chicken friend, Heihei.

Now, Disney has unveiled a new trailer that shows Moana with her younger sister, features notes from the movie's new songs, and glimpses at the dangers she and Maui will face this time as they cross the vast ocean.

Moana explains that the ancestors have tasked her with reconnecting her people to other civilizations across the ocean, which is the impetus for the new quest. This time, she is not only joined by Maui and Heihei, but by her pig, Pua, and several others.
