Synopsis

In 1963, Esther gives birth to Roland, the youngest in a large family, born with a clubfoot that prevents him from standing. Defying the doubts of those around her, she vows that her son will one day walk like everyone else and lead a wonderful life. From that moment, Esther dedicates herself completely to fulfilling that promise.
