An adaptation of Virginia Woolf`s novel of the same name. The movie follows a nobleman named Orlando, who receives the blessing of eternal life from Queen Elizabeth I and lives through 400 years of English history. While born a man, he one day shockingly wakes up as a woman. Prior to this, he has been appointed ambassador to Constantinople, where war is raging. Now he returns home as a female and struggles to retain her property as centuries pass.
