Narrated by Kristen Bell, this documentary focuses on the Chengdu Panda Base in China, where scientists prepare the cubs born in their captive breeding program for the wild. One of the researchers there is an American biologist who comes up with a new technique inspired by a rural New Hampshire black bear rehabilitator. She forms a bond with a panda named Qian Qian, who is experiencing nature for the first time and discovering her wild side.
