Synopsis

PASKAL, or Pasukan Khas Laut, is an elite unit in the Royal Malaysian Navy. The movie follows the true events of PASKAL`s Lieutenant Commander Arman Anwar and his team`s mission to rescue a tanker, MV Bunga Laurel, that was hijacked by Somalian Pirates in 2011.

Stunning cinematography

No other Malay movie will top this. This is the first of many I hope. This movie keeps me at the edge of my seat throughout. It's very nerve-wracking as their mission usually has them executing it in silence. And to add that they were based on real missions, it's pretty amazing to watch. A few emotional scenes as well. Makes us realise what these men do "behind the scenes" as they're not glorified in the public eye.
