Pretham (English: Ghost) is a 2016 Indian Malayalam comedy horror film written, coproduced and directed by Ranjith Sankar. Starring Jayasurya, Aju Varghese, Sharanya Menon, Sharafudheen (Girirajan Kozhi of PREMAM), Sharanya Menon, Sruthy Ramachandran, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Harish Perady, Devan, Nyla Usha etc. in the lead roles.
The story revolves around three classmates who plan a reunion. It is the third collaboration of Sankar and Jayasurya after Punyalan Agarbattis and Su.. Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam.
Three young men Denny Kokken (Aju Varghese), Priyalal (Sharafudheen), and Shibu Majeed (Govind Padmasoorya) have been friends since college. Together, they have a motto: work hard till they hit 30 and enjoy retirement after that. That's why they get together, quit their jobs, and invest all their money in a resort in Kerala. However, before they can reap the benefits of the resort, paranormal activities begin to haunt them forcing them to seek help from John Don Bosco (Jayasurya), a mentalist.
Justin Jose, known for his work in the Telugu film Baahubali: The Beginning and the Bollywood film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has done this film's sound design. Jithu Damodar handles the photography.
