Synopsis

An edgy and disturbing thriller set in contemporary China. It follows Deng, a woman of stubborn integrity. She has two grown-up sons who do not appreciate or welcome her loving efforts to keep the family well fed. She visits her mother daily at a retirement home even though the senile lady does not acknowledge her. Her only company is the ghost of her recently deceased husband. One day, something else starts haunting her daily routine. It is a more menacing presence and she doesn't know why it is stalking her.
